Drawing as Embodied Practice: Reading, Moving, Drawing * When drawing becomes an embodied act, how does it allow us to explore between the visible and the invisible? We begin this workshop by reading a passage from Hamlet; the text speeds up, slows down, disperses, multiplies, sometimes pauses, and repeats. At some point, it transforms into a drawing. What do we include, and what do we leave out when we draw? How can we engage senses beyond sight in the act of drawing? How does focusing on the actions unfolding in the moment—rather than the meaning of the text—bring participants together? In this 2-hour workshop, we explore the boundaries of drawing and share our embodied experiences.
Number of participants: Max. 15 people
